报告题目：The mathematics of shock waves with small-scale physics

报告摘要：This lecture will provide an introduction to the mathematics theory of shock waves. In particular, small-scale sensitive shock waves often arise in continuum physics, especially in the study of complex fluid flows and in phase transition dynamics. The selection and dynamics of shocks may be driven by “small” viscosity and capillarity terms, which cannot be neglected at the “hyperbolic” level of modeling. I will present some analytical and computational methods which have been developed in the in order to investigate nonclassical entropy solutions to hyperbolic systems of conservation laws.
